New Feature! Assets & Transactions

Release 1.75.0 has an exciting new feature: an enhanced view of Personal Assets.

Benefit: a single page showing everything related to a Personal Asset

  • Value: purchase price, current value, future value
  • Cost of ownership: total, average monthly, current month
  • Transaction History: income, expenses
  • Visualization showing transactions per-category

Notes

  • This is a beta release
  • Vehicles only (for now)

How It Works

  1. Create a new Personal Asset (vehicle)
    • in the creation modal, select “Vehicle”
    • In the “Vehicle Info” section, select “Personal car/truck” then fill in the remaining fields: “year”, “make”, “model”, “odometer”. If your make/model aren’t available, just leave these fields unselected.
    • Complete the “Acquisition Info” section if you would like to track the historical value of your vehicle
  2. The Asset (Vehicle) Page
    • The chart shows the value of your asset over time. Neontra calculates the future value of your asset using real-world market data, in this case specific to personal vehicles.
    • If you specified the year/make/model, the Vehicle Details tile shows a picture of your vehicle along with its details
    • Once transactions have been linked, the cost of ownership will be shown in the Vehicle Snapshot tile, and the Transaction Categories tile will display a pie chart showing per-category spend
  3. Link Transactions
    • A new tag is automatically created for each Personal Asset
    • Link a tag with its Asset: (i) by editing a single transaction. or (ii) by setting up a Transaction Rule
    • Tagged transactions appear on the Asset (Vehicle) Page

Coming Soon

  • additional vehicle types, e.g. motorcycles, commercial, trailer/RV
  • real estate
  • inclusion of loans (car loan, mortgage, etc.)
  • integration with third-party sources of real-time market data (e.g. Zillow)
