The Cash Flow section is a categorized view of your income and expenses.
By analyzing cash flow, you can see where your money comes from and where it's
going.
Transactions are grouped by category. Click on the icon to expand a category and see its associated transactions.
You may change the category to which a transaction is assigned using the Category Selector: Uncategorized
Update a transaction by clicking . Split Transaction lets you create individually categorized sub-transactions (e.g. after a visit to Costco or Walmart). One-off implies that a transaction is unique, and will not be included in your Historic Average calculation.
Click "Categories" and "Transactions" tabs to toggle between a categorized view and a list view of your transactions.
You will only see Transactions within the selected date range. Use the Date Picker to change the date range:
To broaden or narrow the date range, click the Period Selector
There are four expense types:
Each Category has a default type. You can change the type by clicking the arrow to the right of the type icon.
Income and expenses are automatically created from your data in My Money.
However, you can also create recurring income and recurring expenses where:
Add by clicking the + icon next to Total Income or Total Expenses.
Neontra predicts your income and expenses using forecasts. There are four forecast settings, which you can see by clicking on a forecast entry in the Cash Flow page.
The Expense Explorer lets you go deeper into your spending, and identify opportunities to save.
Expense Types displays your expenses by type: Essential, Non-essential, Debt Payments and Savings Contributions. There are three visualizations:
Click on the filters in the chart legend to exclude one or more of your expense types.
Categories shows your expenses by category, and is helpful for seeing the relative size of your spending.
Charts show visualizations of your Cash Flow data. Click the different chart icons to change the visualization.
